Hi, I am the Pottawattamie County WIC Program Coordinator serving families in six counties including Cass, Harrison, Mills, Monona, Pottawattamie and Shelby. I have worked for the WIC Program in Iowa for 36 years with fourteen of those years in Pottawattamie County. The WIC Program serves approximately 2,600 participants in the six-county area and strive to serve all families who are eligible. Wei Kay Eng, MS, RD, LD, CLC
I am one of the dietitians with Pottawattamie County WIC Program and the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Coordinator. I have worked for Pottawattamie County WIC Program for 5 years and being a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Coordinator for 4 years now. We have three peer counselors and one of them is bilingual. Peer counselors are trained in working with clients, they provide advice, respond to questions and concerns, and help build breastfeeding confidence. Brittany Garey is a Certified Lactation Counselor with Southwest Iowa Families. Brittany says “I enjoy being able to help others. Kaiya Mears, RN, IBCLC, LCCE
I am the Lactation Consultant for Visiting Nurse Association in Pott County and also Douglas County in Nebraska. I am available to clients in the VNA programs. I also am a Certified Lamaze Childbirth Educator and teach Childbirth Classes in Omaha 4 times a year.

Madelyn is a nurse and Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant who works for Harrison County Home & Public Health serving families in the office, at their home or virtually. If you are interested in services, please call (712) 644-2220.
Sumer Sandholm, RN, BSN, CLS
Sumer is a Registered Nurse and Certified Lactation Specialist working with Montgomery County Public Health. I offer maternal health and breastfeeding education. This education can be provided privately or in a group setting. If you are interested in these services, please call (712) 623-4893.
